IkeaFrom ChibaWikiIkea sells cheap furniture for assembly, lights, rugs, as well as really damn cheap eating and cooking utensils. They also have a nice little cafeteria where you can buy beer and Swedish Meatballs. The Chiba location is in Minami Funabashi. For those of you coming from the States, Ikea is not pronounced "eye key yah" over here, but rather "ee kay ah" They offer boxes that you can fill yourself and ship to most of Chiba for only 1000 yen. If an item doesn't fit in one of these boxes, you can still get it shipped, but it'll cost more. Check the website for rates. Tip: Check your local Cainz Home/D2 and recycle shops before going crazy there. You may find a similar product for cheaper, and you'll save on shipping. |
